The world can be tough sometimes. And during these tough times, we rely on good friends and family to support us. Whether it be a major incident or a minor one, from a sad day, the loss of a job, a sickness or a death of a loved one, we all need to have those that matter the most around to lighten the burden.
As I have gotten older, I realize that the times of joy should also be shared and celebrated. Sometimes you may overlook that the best things in your life should be shared and spread around so all can rejoice. These moments are to be cherished and make the world happier and brighter. Even your own happiness can be contagious and bring a smile to someone’s face!
It is with this sentiment that I would like to inform every one of my complete excitement that Dan and I are going to be grandparents!!! Our daughter Julianne and her husband Kevin are expecting a baby girl in June.
I know that I am not the first person to become a grandmother. The joy of becoming a grandparent has long been reported. And I am told by many people, that these feelings are not to be underestimated.
But the complete feeling of joy and excitement on meeting this new bundle of joy is hard to define. And just like my own happiness on the birth of my three daughters, this new little one has brightened my world.
The possibilities are endless and I am preparing to be swept away with the overwhelming feelings of grand-parenting. And as a planner by nature, there is a lot to be done to get ready for her arrival. Yes, we can discuss the financial aspects of setting up a college fund, or establishing a savings plan. But I much prefer to plan the nursery, purchase some baby clothes and her first books! I guess those things are financial as well!
2019 is going to be a special year…….and I can’t hide my excitement!
Here’s to all of the joyous moments in our lives!!!
Hope you have a great week!
