Needless to say, 2020 has been an interesting year. As we enter into the holiday season, we have a lot to be thankful for…..especially that we have endured a very difficult year and will enter 2021 with hope and excitement for continued health and happiness!
Thanksgiving has always been the start to a busy month and a time to plan all of the celebrations that will come before the new year. But this year will be different. The big parties and large crowds may be limited, but the hope that everyone will be able to enjoy the holidays with family and friends will remain. The food and drinks will be plentiful and the house will be filled with the delicious scents from the warm oven.
As I reflect on the past year, there are many things to be thankful for:
I am thankful for my family and the ability to spend time together to celebrate.
I am thankful for the kindness of people during these difficult times and for all of those who have provided their talents and compassion when it was needed the most.
I am thankful for the delicious things in life… such as turkey, stuffing and apple pie.
I am thankful for the health of my friends and family and for the support that we have shown each other during these difficult months.
I am thankful for the excitement for the future.
I am thankful for the respect we show each other.
I am thankful for spending time with my daughters and my granddaughter. They make my life so much brighter and keep me smiling when I need it the most.
Enjoy the day with your family and Happy Thanksgiving!
